“Everyone can be great because everybody can serve.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Crestwood Citizens Association (CCA) Green Team encourages neighbors to participate in a socially distant Alley Clean-Up this Martin Luther King Jr. weekend as part of the national MLK Day of Service.
Please register your Individual Cleanup here. This allows our friends at the Rock Creek Conservancy to see how dedicated Crestwood volunteers really are, and helps to encourage other neighborhoods pitch in too!
Crestwood’s alleys have become active spaces during the pandemic, providing alternate pathways for walkers, play spaces for youth, and opportunities to observe birds and wildlife. Please take part in this neighborhood-wide effort to clean, clear, and improve our alleys. Your service will make our alleys cleaner, safer, and help neighbors who may be unable to maintain the alley adjacent to their home. Please remember to wear a mask, maintain 6ft of distance from individuals outside of your household, and wear protective gloves. Please share your before and after shots by tagging @Crestwood_DC on Twitter and @CrestwoodDC on Facebook, #AlleyCleanUp, #MLKDay2021. WHO: You! Crestwood families and residents are encouraged to participate! WHAT: The Alley Clean-Up will focus on three Clean-Up activities.
This website and the Crestwood Citizens Association is supported by the dues of CCA members. Membership has its benefits including access to members-only resources and the knowledge that you are supporting a great neighborhood!
