The Crestwood Aging-In-Place Action Team will have a meeting on Tuesday, August 21. Crestwood residents are welcome to attend.

We will discuss ways to improve outreach to residents of Crestwood;  the DC Office On Aging, it's community partnership activities and how our residents can benefit;  future efforts to coordinate with the Green and Kids Teams and any new business brought up at the meeting.  

FYI:  Did you know that the  DC Office on Aging Safe At Home Program-provides safety adaptations for qualifying seniors 60 and above and adults with disabilities to prevent falls in the home.  Eligible seniors may receive up to $6,000 for modifications.  Adaptive equipment includes handrails, grab bars, shower seats and chair lifts.  Applicants must be a DC resident and a homeowner.  For more information call 202-724-5626.
