The Crestwood Neighborhood

Crestwood describes the greater Crestwood/Carter Barron community. This is an area that covers a broader region than the single member Crestwood Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) district 4A08. The area is bounded by Rock Creek Park to the south and west, and 16th Street and Colorado Avenue, west of 16th Street. It is covered by two ANCs and at least three civic groups. Many residents participate or are involved at the block or section level, rather than the Crestwood Neighborhood League or ANC, but the community is well connected and many of the issues overlap.
